A vibrant center for student activities
Large collaboration spaces, filled with daylight
SKL Partner Rick Sundberg designed this 9,000 square foot addition to the College Activities Building (The CAB), a hub of activity for the campus. The CAB holds the main dining hall, marketplace, student activities offices (including newspaper and radio station), and student art gallery. To maximize natural light, a curved ceiling scoops in light from south-facing clerestory windows. The design process was inclusive, with 19 user groups participating. The interior spaces were designed to maximize collaboration between groups.
