Hing Hay Coworks to Inject Entrepreneurial Spirit into ID on The International Examiner
Announcement: Hing Hay Coworks Completion Caps a 14-Year Journey on The International Examiner

Open Office Plan, Private Meeting Rooms, Telephone Booths

Hing Hay Coworks is a new small business center and coworking space in Seattle’s International District, open this 2015. It provides work space and business support for design entrepreneurs and small businesses in an innovative, collaborative environment. It will also strengthen the emerging local arts community and bring affordable design expertise to small businesses, property owners, and nonprofits in the ID. More broadly, it will invite a new generation of entrepreneurs to engage and invest in a diverse, authentic, and culturally vibrant neighborhood.

Hing Hay Coworks is located in a 4,300 sf space on the street level of the historic Bush Hotel, near the center of the International District, once home to a Korean restaurant that has been closed since the early 2000’s. The space will have an exterior entrance from the street, adjacent to Hing Hay Park. Hing Hay Coworks includes a variety of work areas (approximately 25-35) in an open floor plan, along with several small offices and meeting rooms.

Hing Hay Coworks is a program of Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda), which has provided community development services to the International District for over 35 years. SCIDpda’s IDEA Space program works with local stakeholders to increase safety, provide business technical assistance, improve building facades, and market the neighborhood.
