Gladys was recently a juror in Hammer and Hand’s perFORM House Design Competition, which challenged students and architectural interns to use high performance standards as a driver of design. Watch her comment on this process in the video below.
Starting with a wonderful speech by Gladys, the students of Westside eagerly cheered as the the golden shovel was passed forward. Students roared with excitement and delight as they imagined their future space. The ceremony has held in the existing church nave, whose volume will be split into classrooms and an auditorium.
